No stay on the Isle of Wight is complete without visiting the beautiful picture-postcard village of Godshill, located between Newport and Ventnor in the southeast of the island.
Thousands of visitors visit Godshill every year to see the many attractions and pretty thatched cottages. Since 1952 Godshill has been the home to a model village where you can see many parts of the Island in miniature and is well worth a visit. Why not also visit the Toy Museum, Art Gallery, Cider Barn or some of the many gift shops including The Old Smithy and Christmas Cottage, all selling a wide selection of quality local produce.
After exploring the village, there are two family-friendly pubs and several cafes and restaurants where a welcome drink or bite to eat can be enjoyed in relaxing surroundings. A large car and coach park can be found opposite The Griffin pub along the High Street.
A visit to Godshill is not complete with first treating yourself to a cream tea.
