Visitors are encouraged to join in with the nine daily hands-on wildlife events which offer an up-close-and-personal encounter with an amazing array of tame and exotic birds and animals. Children can make new furry friends in pets corner where hogging the limelight for 2011 is the new piggy paddock!
Handle the bugs and reptiles (if you dare!) or meet the mischievous meerkats, observe the playful otters, watch the pompous pelicans and marvel at over 100 stunning flamingos not forgetting the amazing alpacas. The impressive Tropical House is an oasis of water displays, giant mirror and koi carp with a spectacular backdrop of free-flying birds. There is also an educational quiz trail and an indoor play and learning centre. Licensed cafe and gift shop, picnic areas and disabled facilities. Sorry - regret strictly no dogs allowed due to free-roaming wildlife.
