Red Funnel operates a fleet of the largest vehicle ferries serving the Isle of Wight from Southampton direct to East Cowes and the northern tip of the Island. They also operate a turn-up and go Red Jet service direct to Cowes in 23 minutes, which offer the most frequent hi-speed service to the Isle of Wight and the quickest route from London Waterloo.

We have over 100 accommodation properties to choose from, ranging from chic boutique retreats to cosy guest houses and funfilled holiday parks, and we can arrange all the extras – car hire, cycle hire, and transfers by bus or taxi on the Island. Travelling by Car
Our terminal in Southampton is easily reached via the M3 and M27 motorways; the only difficulty is choosing what to do during your 55 minute cross-Solent cruise to East Cowes. Step out on deck for some fresh sea air, sample one of our speciality coffees and choose from a tempting selection of hot
and cold food options many from local sources, or log on to our free Wi-Fi connection and catch up with your emails. During the summer months there is often live onboard entertainment for all ages.
Travelling on Foot or by Bicycle
Leave the car behind and get away from it all – our Hi-Speed Red Jet service transports you to the Island in just 23 minutes. A free City-link bus operates at regular intervals from Southampton Central train station to the Ferry terminals. Alternatively, cruise across on our Vehicle Ferry, where foot passengers can take their push bikes at no extra charge.
