Our house, set in an acre of secluded grounds, is beautifully situated amidst National Trust downland. Nestling beneath Tennyson Down, not far from the magnificent cliffs towering above 'Frenchman's Hole', it has splendid country and Solentviews. Here you can enjoy many interesting and varied walks. For that feeling of being on top of the world, try the walk across the Downs to the tip of the headland for breathtaking views of the Needles and the sweep of the Dorset coastline.
We offer a traditional English breakfast, but of course you may order a light Continental breakfast if you prefer.
In the evenings you can relax in our comfortable Lounge and watch your favourite TV programmes if conversation runs short! You may of course like to take a short stroll and explore our acre of grounds around the house or just relax on the terrace.The house has eight bedrooms and two family suites. Four bedrooms are on the ground floor, four on the first floor and the family suites, (comprising two bedrooms and bathroom), are on the second. The spacious bedrooms, all of which have en suite facilities, are each furnished with an individual charm and have delightful rural aspects or sea views. Each room has a colour television and hot drink making facility.
The Coach House is a self contained apartment in the grounds of Frenchman's Cove with delightful views of Tennyson Down and the surrounding countryside, it offers self catering accommodation for four, with a well appointed kitchen area which includes microwave, fridge / freezer, electric cooker, kettle, toaster, cafetière and a good selection of pots, pans, cutlery, kitchen utensils, crockery and glasses.
The lounge / dining area offers a table and four folding chairs plus comfortable seating and for your entertainment a TV, DVD and CD/radio/cassette player.
The master bedroom has en suite bathroom with bath and shower over, WC and washbasin.
The ground floor has a lobby and utility room complete with a washing machine, tumble dryer etc. plus a WC and washbasin. A door leads to a sleeping area with 2'6" Bunk Beds, suitable for children only, a wardrobe and chest of drawers and stairs leading to rest of accommodation which is on first floor.
