Barwick Cottages

Shortlist
Barwick Cottages are in the middle of the Island, on a sixteen acre small-holding, containing sheep, horses, ducks, chickens, geese and other small animals, like rabbits and guinea pigs for the children to enjoy feeding.

The cottages are quietly situated 300 yards off the main road with fine rural views in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. At the end of the short farm drive is the popular Chequers Inn which welcomes children and serves food all day. The pub has a large beer garden with a children's play area.

Aside from any geological interest, the Isle of Wight has much to offer travellers who seek a very English style of relaxation. It has a little of everything: castles, nature walks, sandy beaches, seaside resorts, Victorian architecture, gardens, thatch-roofed cottages, fishing villages, sailboat regattas, angling, cycling, dinosaur fossils, shipwrecks, a steam railway, and events that range from a marathon to a Garlic Festival.
